      Humor in the teaching – learning process.

Several people say that teachers must be serious when they are in the class to get the respect of their students. Nonetheless, some teachers do not that, and use humor to explain something for different reasons.

One of them is that the teaching – learning process is much better when teachers apply a technique or methodology based on humor and the results show that then the students easily remember the main points of the class.

Another one is that through humor teachers encourage students to trust in them and the academic process involves an excellent environment not only getting good results but also increasing the relationship as human beings.

On the other hand, some students misunderstand the sense of humor of some teachers since they believe that teachers are their buddies and the consequence of this is the lack of respect.

In conclusion, the use of humor must be considered during our classes since it helps students to remember easily, and the results will be better. Obviously, the respect is something that we as teachers must preach all the time to avoid the misunderstanding.
